Su construcción data de principios del siglo pasado. En los años 40 estuvo alojado la dirección de ingeniería sanitaria y aguas residuales.
Es un ejemplo de art nouveau en Oaxaca. De un solo piso, limita toda la fachada en sus cual extremos, elementos arquitectónicos trabajados en cantera rosa, abajo un rodapié a cuadros, arriba un entablamento con arquitrabe friso decorado y cornisa, y a los lados dos pilastras tritóstilas estriadas con capitel compuesto jónico y corintio.
Una bella ventana con arcos divididos en tres artes por columnistas parteluz, con las mismas características antes descritas, las dos ventanas pequeñas laterales tiñen un balcón ciego con motivos florales, también la la clave del arco.
La ventana central que se un poco más grande tienen un balcón abalaustrado colocado encima de una patena en forma de concha o rocalla, entre la puerta y esta, otra pilastra y luego el gran portón de herrería y cristal enmarcado con el mismo tipo de media muestra, todos tienen pedestal alto y base, un gran arco arriba y al centro en la clave una quimera.

Esta Casa fue una miscelánea entre el año 1965 y 1970, las dueñas eran dos hermanas ya grandes. tenía anaqueles con vitroleros antiguos de vidrio soplado con tapas de corcho, donde almacenaban sus productos. todos los mostradores eran de madera ya muy vieja.
Vendían dulces tradicionales oaxaqueños como las cocaditas, palanquetas de cacahuate o los piedrazos, que es un pan duro sumergido en vinagres con chiles y verduras.
Con la remodelación de la fundación Harp Helú, todavía se alcanza a ver el letrero de “miscelánea”.
En una de las ventanas sobre la calle de reforma, estuvo durante mucho tiempo una reja dañada por un camión que aplastó a una chica y a su novio, donde perdió la vida la mujer originaria de la costa oaxaqueña.
