𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗔 𝗗𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗧𝗔
𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲: 20 minutes
𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: 4
𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
- 1 cup of rice
- 2 sticks of cinnamon
- 1 ½ liters of water (about 6 cups)
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- ½ cup of walnuts
- 2 cups of small cubes of cantaloupe
- Shredded peel of one lime
- Ice
𝗧𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲:
- Wash the rice 3 to 4 times until the water runs clear.
- Add the rice and cinnamon sticks to a bowl and add water just to cover. Soak for 15 minutes.
- Pour mixture into a blender with the additional water, and add sugar.
- Strain the mixture into a pitcher.
- Add the chopped walnuts,cubes of cantaloupe and lime peel. Add ice.
Optional: add prickly pear ice cream.
